Heron

Heron is a three dimensional work inspired by the movement and energy of a heron, built entirely from paper and card. The piece is made up of thousands of hand cut and fringed paper pieces to create a huge swirl of texture. The gold elements are added to emphasise the heron's natural elegance and beauty.

It is a relief artwork built onto a painted back board. Depth is created by layers of paper and card, creating sculptural shaping, texture and movement.
