Pangolin

This 3 dimensional work is inspired by the details and textures of endangered animals. The blue scaly swirl represents the scales of a pangolin, the most trafficked animal in the world. The orange strands are the fur of an orangutan, the black shape with white spots is a leatherback turtle. It’s a celebration of these animals, the vibrancy and energy of nature, it’s delicate details and immense power.

Pangolin is a relief artwork built onto a painted back board. Depth is created by layers of paper and card, creating sculptural shaping, texture and movement.
