Bald eagle

In 2020 Lisa was commissioned by a client in Florida USA, to create a life-sized bald eagle with a 2 meter wingspan. It is made entirely from paper and card. Every feather is hand fringed and scored. It took just over 3 and a half months to complete the commission.

Lisa used a thick card to create a skeleton and then covered the ‘bones’ with tissue paper. Following this over 7,000 hand fringed paper elements were attached.
