I was commissioned by De Beers to create a structure inspired by the faceted qualities of their beautiful diamonds.

The structure was used to display the jewellery for their campaign photo shoot. The brief was to come up with a form that had interesting angles and textures that would accentuate the jewellery. This was achieved with different paper techniques and paper stock, such as their signature white Buckram finish and metallics as well as festive reds and greens.

The images were used across all media and the VM team at De Beers used the design as a basis for the window displays globally.

I was also asked to make replicas of the model which were on display in all their flagship stores around the world: New York, Paris, London, Singapore and Hong Kong.

I was given this great brief by Wardour Communications for The British Heart Foundation. The BHF have a quarterly magazine called Heart Matters which supports people with heart related health issues and gives advice on lifestyle and support. This edition focuses on how fibre is important for heart health, so Wardour had the idea of getting me to make a load of paper fruit, vegetables and pulses etc. It was a fun one!

Number one of my entomology series is finished… I’m creating 6 insects inspired by fashion designers. This little Chalcosoma beetle is inspired by Alexander Mcqueen’s Plato’s Atlantis Collection. I’m so inspired by his use of colour, texture and pattern, all inspired by nature.

Waitrose Weekend Magazine asked me to create an illustration of their new 'Frushi' product, fruit sushi! Instead of fish the rolls are filled with pineapple, melon and other fruit; surrounded by coconut. Delicious! The image was used for the cover, all the elements are made from paper - apart from the tray and chopsticks!

This is a poster to illustrate the magical experience of wild camping, the feeling of being secluded in your own private spot, where the great outdoors becomes your own little private garden.

Waitrose Weekend magazine asked me to create a paper blue tit to mark the start of the RSPB's 'Big Garden Birdwatch'. The image was used for the cover and a competition was launched for readers to win a print of the image. It is made entirely from hand cut paper.

I've been working with a company called 'Colour is Sound' to create 10 designs that take the essence of classic bands from the 1960's and 1970's and give them an abstract modern twist. The range is called 'Once we were immortal.'

My brief was to design colourful bold 2D images inspired by the bands. This design was created for Syd Barrett's album 'Barrett'. The album artwork features illustrated bees and wasps, so I created an abstract insect design- the words on the wings are lyrics from the song 'Baby Lemonade'.

The owner of the t-shirt company is a musician and he later decided to use his own lyrics on the designs.

This is my first paper model for a new personal project: a series of insects inspired by fashion designers and victorian entomological illustrations. I was first inspired to do this when I submitted an idea for a Thames and Hudson book on paper craft. We were asked to create a design based on the permanent collections at the V&A. I was really inspired by Alexander Mcqueen's work in particular his 'Plato's Atlantis' dresses. For this bee I have been really inspired by Mary Karantzou 'resort 2018' collection. Such beautiful and inspiring work, I love her use of pattern, texture and colour.

This was a mixed media test project for a lipstick using a mixed media approach of photography, paper, 2D elements and a product. The effect has a high end glossy feel.

I was honoured when Milan based interior design company Studio Pepe contacted me about putting my blue tit in an article for Elle Decor Italia. I sent the bird flying solo all the way to Milan and back for the shoot, so it was incredible to see what they'd done with her. The feature is a style forecast for 2018, I'm so proud to be included.

Changes Bristol has been running mental health peer support meetings in the City of Bristol for over 12 years. Their meetings are safe places for people to come and talk about their feelings and to take steps toward improving their lives.

I was asked if I could create a chameleon to represent how it feels to struggle with mental health, the design will be used to raise money for the charity. There will be a blind auction to win a signed print at an event in Bristol on the 8th July. For more details about the event click here.

I was asked by Niquesa a London luxury jewellery brand, to create 6 paper sets for a photoshoot for their stunning jewellery. Each set needed to reflect the key design style of each piece, flowing, geometric, floral etc.

Once each set was made they were transported to Kalory photographic studio in London, where they were beautifully lit and styled in minute detail.

I was asked by Asahi to make a 2 meter high paper bottle of their beer for their HQ here in the UK. The giant model was built to celebrate the launch of their new bottle design, it was made using hundreds of pieces of paper. They felt paper was the perfect material to use, because of the beer's Japanese origins.

I was asked by the lovely people at Hardie Media in Australia to create a 'seafood platter' for the cover of an in-flight magazine for Jetstar airline in Australia.

I initially sketched up the design then created all the elements in paper before photographing them and compositing them in Photoshop.

I was asked by Waitrose Weekend magazine to create an image to illustrate an article on 'restaurants with rooms'. A piece about 'auberge' style restaurants in the UK in which you can eat, drink be merry and then pop up to bed without having to worry about the weather or who's going to drive!

The room is made entirely from paper, the stars, moon and wine label were added in photoshop after the shoot. The paper trees were all composited afterwards, to create a cosy and magical feel to the piece.

The Mental health foundation supports people dealing with anxiety and stress, helping them to cope using life skills such as Mindfulness. It enables them to live full and happy lives despite the challenges they face. This image is an expression of setting your mind free to feel happiness and hope, (even while doing the most mundane tasks.)

Moonpig asked me to develop an image of a bouquet that incorporated traditional flowers in a unusual contemporary way. I created the flowers in paper and card, photographed them and then composited them in photoshop. I then combined them with 2D elements.

London based furniture company Davison Highley asked me to recreate their '50's chair' as part of Clerkenwell design week. Last year they had it made out of lego, this year paper.. I wonder what they'll do next year?

I created the chair from foamboard and firm card then covered it in hundreds of small bits of paper to create a mosaic style collage.

This 3 dimensional prawn was one of the first things I created using paper. It was chosen by the Editor of Design week to be shown in their 'things we like' feature in 2011.

This is an editorial idea to illustrate the health benefits of avocados, I created the avocado in paper then superimposed it onto a photograph of a real spoon. A healthy tastier alternative to medicine!

I was asked along with 4 other illustrators to create a unique wallet design for the new 'Grolsch 400' campaign. It was an open brief to create an image that included the iconic bottle shape and the flip top lid. The wallets are being given out at Grolsch events, which are currently being staged at major cities around the country.

Moonpig asked me to create an image for a birthday celebration, I created elements out of paper photographed them and combined them with 2D elements in photoshop.

These illustrations were created for Business Airport International magazine. The article discusses the pros and cons of registering a privately owned aircraft offshore. I used a combination of handmade paper models and 2D graphics.

I created this paper model of a dog to be used for reference to make a CGI model for a christmas animation. The models were commissioned by Bigman 3D, a Brighton based animation company. The agency was London based agency 'Monk' and their client was 'DBG.'

This was a quick test image to experiment with mixing my paper work with other photographic imagery and textures in a collage style. Each letter is inspired by David Bowie's most iconic looks.

I created this spread for German publication 'Myself magazine'. The brief was to illustrate an editorial on the differences between living in the city or the countryside. The client wanted to show a letter between 2 pen friends, traveling between the 2 environments in a handmade paper world.

I was asked by the Guardian to create an illustration for the cover of their Xmas Gift Guide, it was featured inside their Saturday magazine 21st November 2015.

The image is created using a combination of a handmade paper tree and 2D elements created in illustrator and photoshop.

This is one of my first personal projects, it depicts the secret world of hedgehogs. While we're all sleeping they take their pet moths for a walk in the forest...  This image was picked by the editor of Design Week back in 2011 to be shown in the 'Things we like' feature.

This image was created entirely in paper and photographed in situ- the rabbit, deer snow and clouds were added later in photoshop.

This was an early personal project. I wanted to create something with a bit of humour. It's made using a combination of 2D graphics, photographic elements and a handmade paper model.

I was commissioned by a company to experiment with paper to create an alternative flower arrangement. I thought neon colours and geometric shapes combined with other textures and 2D elements would create an interesting visual effect.

This is a playful illustration celebrating the culinary differences of cultures around the world. The style captures the sensory experience of discovering new and exciting flavours and textures, by using a mixed media approach of handmade paper and 2D elements.

These images were created for a pitch for the South Downs National Park Authority 'Spring Awakening' campaign. The purpose of the campaign was to encourage people to cut down on pollution when visiting The Downs and to choose cycling or public transport instead of the car.
