Clerkenwell Design Week 2015 - outdoor sculpture

Thank you to Davison Highley for inviting me to create a centre piece for their summer garden event for Clerkenwell Design Week 2015. The chair is balancing on one leg and stands at over 1.5 meters tall. The chair took approx 150 hours to make and over 3 thousand individual tabs of yellow paper.

The brief was to create something large and eye catching to get people talking about their new 'Array chair' which is launching soon:

The internal structure is constructed using foamboard with a wooden base. The supporting leg is metal. I hired a studio space locally as I needed a lot of room to work.
