While producing the Colour is Sound t-shirt range I created this image inspired by Andy Warhol and his 'Exploding Plastic Inevitable' happenings.

This was a little personal project, based on the 2D IFF project I had been working on, just a quick experiment combining 2D and 3D elements.

This year I've been working with a new start up company called 'Colour is Sound' to create 10 designs that take the essence of classic bands from the 1960's and 1970's and give them an abstract modern twist. The range is called 'Once we were immortal.'

My brief was to design colourful bold 2D images inspired by the bands.

This design was created for the Small Faces. Formed in east London in 1965, they are one of the most acclaimed and influential Mod groups of the time. This design is inspired by their single 'Tin Soldier'. The design illustrates the lyrics and is a nod to the bands style, image and mod culture.

These are some billboard poster designs for an illustration I did for Myself magazine, a German publication. they had to be simple and not busy so they didn't compete with the rest of the illustration- you can see the final illustration here.

The album artwork features illustrated bees and wasps, so I created an abstract insect design- the words on the wings are lyrics created by the owner of Colour is Sound who is also a musician.

I was asked to design the logo, branding, website and app for WhisperME an amazing new social gifting site set up by Abby Johnson - an inspiring business woman with the eye of the tiger!

It's a new kind of gifting space that revolutionises how you buy and receive what you love...by allowing you to ask for it via wish lists for special occasions.

The brief for this design was to create a design based around the Stone Roses' iconic album artwork designed by John Squire. The red, white and blue paint splatters represent the colours of the French Tricoloure flag and the lemon represents the lemons used by protestors in Paris when tear gas was thrown at them.

This design represents that moment in history. The lemon pips are grenades, exploding with the colours of the french flag.

This design was created for Can a German experimental rock band formed in 1968, they are known for their psychedelic new wave music. The former lead singer Damo Suzuki was a force of nature who lost himself completely in the music. His high energy wailing style was the inspiration for this design as was the iconic bowler hat which he still wears today.

The band had highly politicised views and were thought to be an emerging innovator of the punk movement. This design is a nod to their political views; visually referencing the Black Panther movement and the stars and colours of the American flag.

The copy is a lyric created by one of the founders of Colour Is Sound, inspired by the band's music and spirit.

These designs are taken from a global employee engagement animation for the Hershey company. It celebrates the heritage alongside articulating the brand promise; in particular reinforcing the personality and visionary attitude of Milton Hershey.

These pitch frames were created for an animation about Save the Children's 'Theory of Change'. The narrative focused on Health, Education, Child Protection and Nutrition on a global scale and the animation was intended to communicate the ideas in a simple and engaging way.

These designs were used for a promotional video for 'Bio-P' a block cap used in urinals to prevent bacteria and odours collecting in the pipework. The brief was to communicate the information in an interesting and fun way. You can watch the final animation at the link below.
